Giving Your Baby The Best Start

When Bradford Council and the Public Health team reached out to create a film to raise awareness of the risks associated with drinking alcohol or taking drugs throughout pregnancy, we knew this was another opportunity to use film to make a positive impact on families lives in the Bradford region.

Understanding their needs we worked together to develop a film idea that was emotive and informative. We kept things simple with two characters, two Bradford mums acted by two incredible local actors, we focussed on the stories they told, taken from real experiences of pregnant mums in the region. The simplicity really allows the emotion to shine through.

The feedback from the Council was amazing, they’d taken it to peer groups for detailed feedback prior to launch and found the film was hitting all the markers it intended too. It’s now been rolled out across the city in doctors surgeries and clinics and online too, for the right people to see it, and know that support is there for them.
